Still looking for a solution to fix the dual shock problem though. If I use a keyboard or 360 controller the crackling disappears. UPDATE: The issue seems to be with dual shock controllers. I've tried reinstalling and the problem persists. Any help is greatly appreciated! I was half way through Resident Evil: Director's Cut when this happened. But now the audio seems to crack no matter what I do. I use the g-sync setting when using my computer monitor and the other method when using my tv. When I first installed Retroarch I experienced audio crackling, but I managed to solve it by following these instructions. I think I accidentally applied messed up shader settings as a core/global preset, but now even without shaders on I am still getting the audio crackling. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but last night I was fiddling with the settings and I think I might have broken something because now when I open Retroarch there is a bad cracking sound when I'm using either core. I've had Retroarch set up and working for a couple weeks with Beetle PSX and Bettle PSX HW.
